Nobel Precision

The journey of Nobel Precision (formerly known as RUAG Brazil) began in 2008, with the vision of establishing a munitions production unit, a bold and strategic project aimed at strengthening the defense and security sector in the country.

The company was formally established in 2011, but it was only in 2018, after extensive and arduous work involving the Army, Ministry of Defense, Civil House, and a lot of resilience, that we obtained authorization to begin our operations. This moment was historic, as, for the first time, an international company was granted permission to set up a munitions factory in Brazil, breaking a decades-long monopoly in the sector and paving the way for competitiveness and innovation in the munitions market and beyond.

The transition from the former RUAG Brazil to Nobel Precision was finalized with the acquisition of the company by the Italian group BERETTA HOLDING S.A., a process approved by the Swiss Federal Council in 2021 and completed in mid-2022.

With the completion of the privatization, Nobel Precision moved its headquarters from Pernambuco to Goiás, taking advantage of the strategic location in the Brazilian Midwest, a key point of access to various regions of the country. Additionally, a branch was opened in Brasília, focusing on commercial, administrative, and support functions, aiming to further strengthen relationships with clients and partners.

The project has extended beyond initial expectations. The complexity of the current market, combined with the nuances of existing legislation and some bureaucratic processes that take longer than anticipated, has influenced the pace of the project’s implementation. However, we remain steadfast in our commitment to overcoming these challenges with the same determination that has always characterized our journey.

Although the factory unit has not yet been completed, the renowned ammunition from the AMMOTEC Group – NORMA, MFS, RWS, SWISS-P, GECO, ROTWEILL – is present not only in Brazil but throughout Latin America, with the same quality and standards as those available worldwide.
